Off the Art Grid - Church on the Rocks

P.E.N. Paints a True Tale from off the Trail  ................................................................. ☺

Sunday Service on Douglas Lake began as a rocky day on the water and I decided I needed to beach my little yellow Yak.

I was on unfamiliar waters and apprehensive about paddling around one last bend toward the dock.....the jet ski's and pleasure boaters were putting in and starting their after Mass partying.

It was time to wet a worm and let nature and the tide wash over me for a bit....it was turning into another blistering day in East Tennessee.

I had what I thought was another nibble on my line....

I gave it a jerk and felt the hook take hold.....sigh.......my little paddling pole arched as I reeled in what I knew was a stick fish.....I literally laughed out loud because just the day before I had read this entry on another blog.

I had reeled in a stick gun very similar to the photo shown in the blog post.  Now I am an official gun toting Tennessean........it's a keeper.

I finally made it around the bend and look what shows up on the boat ramp.....

I told them I was packin'.......

....Packin' a very sick sense of humor, and my contraband.....

I Belong among the Wild Flowers (Tom Petty)
....that song had been playing over and over in my head all day long.....

I belong among the wild flowers...NOT BEHIND BARS!
They let me go...... ☺

I had my church service with my God on a rocky shore by the lake. He is forever sending us little signs if we only take the time to notice them.

Don't forget to hop on over to the other P.E.N. Studio for all things in the past, present and soon to be future. @Penstudioart.com or just google it...that works too.

I WAS SKEEEEERED!......Shaking in my Speedo. Seriously the local SD & the TWRA do a great job in keeping an eye out for possible trouble makers.
